Terms of Use

Last updated August 15, 2026

These Terms of Use govern your use of this website, operated by Kate McNulty, LCSW, and Kate McNulty LCSW, PC (“I,” “me,” or “my”). By using this site, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

1. This Site Is Not for Emergencies

This website provides information about my private-pay telehealth therapy practice. It is not a substitute for emergency care. If you’re experiencing a mental health crisis or thinking about harming yourself or someone else, call 911, go to your nearest emergency room, or contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988. I don’t monitor this website, the contact form, email, or text messages in real time, and none of these channels are appropriate for urgent situations.

2. Using This Site Doesn’t Create a Therapist-Client Relationship

‍Browsing this website, reading its content, or submitting a contact form doesn’t create a therapist-client relationship between us. That relationship begins only once you’ve completed intake through my scheduling platform, Simple Practice, and I’ve confirmed I can see you as a client. Nothing on this site is personalized clinical advice for your specific situation.

3. Who I Can See as a Client

‍I’m currently licensed to provide services to residents of Oregon, Washington, Florida, New York, and Massachusetts, and I can only provide telehealth services to you if you’re physically located in one of these states at the time of our session. If you’re located outside these states, I'm not able to see you as a client, regardless of where you found this website.

4. Scheduling, Fees, and Cancellations

Sessions are booked directly through Simple Practice. Current prices for my services are listed on my Prices page. I don’t offer free consultations.

For an estimate of expected charges before your first session, see the Good Faith Estimate information linked in the site footer, which is provided under the federal No Surprises Act.

5. Electronic Communications

I offer secure text and phone contact at 503-295-6265. Standard email isn’t encrypted end-to-end, so please avoid sending sensitive clinical details by email, and never use email or text for anything urgent — see Section 1 above.

6. Website Content and Intellectual Property

The text, graphics, and other content on this site belong to me or are used with permission, and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may view and share pages of this site for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, republish, or use the content for commercial purposes without my written permission.

7. Links to Other Websites

This site may link to outside websites, including the Florida telehealth notice, the Washington consumer health data privacy policy, and the federal Good Faith Estimate page. I don’t control those sites and I’m not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Visiting them is at your own discretion.

8. No Warranties

This website and its content are provided “as is.” I don’t guarantee the site will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that any information on it is complete, current, or applicable to your situation. General information about my practice, specialties, or approach isn’t a promise of any particular outcome.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, I’m not liable for any damages arising from your use of this website or inability to use it, including technical failures, errors, or interruptions. This section doesn’t limit any liability related to the clinical services I provide once a therapist-client relationship has been established, which is instead governed by the informed consent and treatment agreement you sign at intake.

10. Governing Law

‍Any dispute arising from these Terms will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Oregon.

11. Changes to These Terms

I may update these Terms of Use from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms.
