Fit and Approach
-
I work with couples and individuals, and my practice centers on three specialties: affair and betrayal recovery, desire discrepancy in relationships, and problematic sexual behavior.
-
I work with partners recovering from an affair or betrayal using the Gottman Method. I also work with couples with sexual desire discrepancy: a lasting difference in how often each of you wants sex.
For individuals, I work with people addressing problematic sexual behavior, also sometimes referred to as sex addiction or pornography addiction.

Yes. I’m autistic myself, and I’ve taught continuing education to other therapists on working with neurodivergent couples through The Chicago School.
I wrote Love and Aspergers to help autistic and neurotypical partners understand each other and strengthen their connection.

Yes. I offer intensive sessions in two lengths: 3 hours (1 day) for $2,000, and 6 hours (1 or 2 days) for $4,000. The session length and number of days are customizable, and we can decide together what fits your schedule and the concern that brought you in.
Rates and Insurance
-
A 50-minute session costs $500, and a 90-minute session costs $750.
-
I’m not in-network with any insurance plan, so I don’t bill insurance companies directly.
-
Yes, I accept HSA and FSA cards as payment for sessions.
-
Yes, for individual sessions. Payment is due from you at the time of service; after that, I can give you a Superbill, an itemized receipt you submit to your insurance company yourself for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
To find out what your insurance plan covers, call the customer service number on the back of your insurance card and ask about your out-of-network outpatient mental health benefits.
I don’t provide Superbills for couples sessions because I don’t give a mental health diagnosis to either partner during couples therapy.
Getting Started in Therapy
-
You may request a session through my secure online scheduling page using SimplePractice, a HIPAA-compliant electronic record system built for therapy practices.
I will approve your request within one business day and you’ll receive a link to digitally sign your new client forms. Everything you review and sign stays stored in your secure client portal.
-
No, I don’t offer a free consultation calls. Your first session is a full, paid intake session. I’ve structured my practice this way so that I have more time between sessions to review current research on the specialties I practice.
-
For couples working through desire discrepancy or affair and betrayal recovery, the assessment phase of therapy comes first: three 90-minute sessions. After the third assessment session, we move to standard 60-minute sessions. I meet with couples on a weekly basis to start.
